Product Description
Your office has an amalgam separator that captures mercury waste from your vacuum system before it enters public wastewater systems.
The EPA requires this device for all offices that treat patients with amalgam fillings. The collection container is the part that stores the captured waste, and it needs to be replaced regularly to keep your separator working properly.
When the container is full, your separator can’t do its job effectively. This means mercury waste might get into waste water, which puts your practice out of compliance and your community water at risk.
EPA inspectors will check that your equipment is not full or beyond its replacement cycle and will request your certificate of recycling as proof of proper recycling. Replacing the container on time and knowing where to find certificates keeps your system working and helps your office stay compliant.

How will I receive the gift card?
Solmetex will initiate the giftcard to be sent to the account email address we have on file. A promotion confirmation will be sent to the email address before the digital gift card is sent to check for bounced emails and to let you know it is coming. Once the gift card is sent, we may not be able to resend or retrieve it. Please confirm with your Solmetex sales rep at the time of order if there are any account changes to contact info that are needed.

How do I get my shipping label?
To obtain a shipping label, you will need to Login to the account portal. This can be found on our website under the “My Solutions Center” tab. Enter your account number and ZIP code. If you need help obtaining your account number, please call 1-800-216-5505. The “Print Shipping Label” button is found on the top right.
Where do I find my shipping code?
Your shipping code can be found on the NXT recycle cap, on the Hg5 snap cap, or on the lid of the PWS amalgam bucket or PWS lead bucket.
I already sealed my box; how can I get my shipping code?
Unfortunately, you would need to open the box to retrieve the shipping code. You can use any packing tape to reseal the box. Please do not open the actual recycle container, only the box.
How often does my collection container need to be changed?
The collection container needs to be change either every 12 months or once sediment reaches the fill line, whichever occurs first.
My container is not full, why do I need to change it?
After 12 months, Solmetex cannot guarantee a 99% separation rate of Amalgam Waste, which is the EPA Standard, due to the natural deterioration of the restrictor within the collection container.
What should we do if we do not have our recycling package?
Each replacement collection container comes with a recycling kit, the recycling service is included in the price. It is important to keep the packaging the collection container came in for when it comes time to recycle. If your practice did not save the packaging, you can purchase a recycling kit on our online shop. Please call the sales team to order a replacement, 877-207-1551. **Alternative packaging cannot be used to safely ship your Hg5 or NXT Hg5 collection container.
