Sterisil® R2A bacterial tests utilizes an EPA validated R2A plating method to grow and count HPC bacterial colonies in samples collected from dental unit waterlines. Tests are conducted at EPA Certified 3rd party lab (#37917). Tests are read at 24 hours after receipt by our labs. If your samples exceed the water safety limit at 24 hours a Solmetex Water Specialist will contact you.

A Better Way to R2A? It’s About Time
Each kit includes: vials, ice packs, return packaging, chain of custody and instructions, and next day air return shipping label.
The number of R2A vials ordered should be based on the needs of your practice, 1 vial per operatory. Each order includes the appropriate packaging and labeling required for your mail-in laboratory test. Vials should not be saved for future use.
